Innovation is a wonderful concept. The purpose of innovation is to create business value, not just for our business, but for our clients as well.
Business value can be defined in many ways, such as incremental improvements to existing products, the creation of entirely new products and services and reducing costs.
The people at i3 consultants WA often see things that are not quite right and wonder, is there a better, simpler and cheaper way to do this?
As the result of this thinking, we currently have two Patents Pending, one for a new way of signing roadwork sites, trademarked as Legless Signs®. This product is currently undergoing development and testing.
The second patent is for a simple device to be used within roadwork Multi Message Sign (MMS) frames that prevents the sign panels from slipping behind each other for a fraction of the cost of the current mandated method* of inserting additional panels behind them. It also allows for the creation of compliant DETOUR direction, PEDESTRIAN direction, and Lane Status signs on site, reducing the number of sign panels required to be stored and loaded onto traffic management vehicles. This second device has been trademarked as a SBLOKIT™.
All roadwork sign devices will be marketed under the Legless Signs™ brand.
