Waste Management Plans are often required by approving authorities as part of supporting documentation for development applications. Typically these plans aim to:
  • Avoid the generation of unnecessary waste;
  • Minimise the quantities of wastes generated ending up as landfill;
  • Recover, reuse and recycle waste generated on site where possible;
  • Document how waste will be stored on site and collected; and
  • Demonstrate compliance with any codes and policies that may apply to the development.

As an ex Town Engineer, David Wilkins has extensive knowledge of waste management requirements and can prepare Waste Management Plans as a 'value add' service as part of any required traffic and transport studies.
